Weekly Salad: Raw Brussel Sprouts & Pear



Ingredients:
Raw brussel sprouts, sliced into thin strips
(1) Bartlett pear
Raisins
Bacon

Dressing:
Balsamic

This one was kinda odd, but I liked it!  I love brussel sprouts and cabbage (oh yeah, and pretty much everything else.  I'm pretty sure I love all food. Some of it I like better than others or eat more often, but it seems in general I don't really discriminate! haha), so I thought I'd give it a go.  It was a tiny bit tough, but with the soft, ripe pears and sweet raisins it actually worked.  So whaddya think - do you see yourself trying the brussel sprout as lettuce thing?

  1. Oh my, that looks amazing! I've never thought to use raw brussel sprouts as the base for a salad, that's genius. And I love pears. How creative!
