What I wore: Right on Track

Dress & belt: Forever21

Stitched maryjanes: Thrifted

Here's an outfit that's a little out of the norm for me!  I really like soft/muted/Earthy and particularly light colors, but I was really drawn to this bright orange one out of a desire to try new things.  I usually absolutely try to stay away from oranges and reds, but recently I've been thinking a lot about how to assert myself more or have a stronger presence, and I think this dress totally helps me out. Plus, I think it's good for the upcoming transition into fall. It was a super comfy, twirly adventure outfit until I foolishly sat on the greasy tracks.  Oh the hazards of fashion bloggin', right?  Anyway, now that the stain has washed out, it'll be great for walking in the woods & general adventuring, so...hurray!

  1. Those look like the most comfortable shoes ever. I'm usually more drawn to those colors in my wardrobe as well but sometimes it is fun to mix it up! (And orange is sort of an earthy color, it mixes so nicely with browns and grays!)

  2. I think you great in that color! And I've totally made the sit-on-the-greasy-tracks mistake. Looks so much more romantic than it is!

  3. haha aww i wouldnt foresee the tracks staining either, haha. at least it washed out! and i LOVE this dress- this was definitely worth stepping out of your comfort zone :)
